These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of UCSD Enhanced Viewer ("the extension"), a Chrome browser extension and its associated website and services operated by Anh Pham ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing or using the extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the extension. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. The extension is designed for students and staff with access to podcast.ucsd.edu and requires a valid UCSD login for full functionality.
UCSD Enhanced Viewer is a Chrome extension that replaces the podcast.ucsd.edu website with a modern video player, course listing, and productivity tools. The extension offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier ("Plus") with additional features such as AI-powered lecture summaries.
Some features require creating an account through Supabase authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
The free tier provides access to the core extension features at no cost, including a limited number of AI summaries. No payment information is required.
Plus is a recurring monthly subscription that unlocks unlimited AI summaries and other premium features. Pricing is displayed at checkout and on our pricing page. All payments are processed by LemonSqueezy.
Your Plus subscription renews automatically each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your LemonSqueezy account. After cancellation, you retain Plus access through the end of the current billing period.
We may adjust pricing from time to time. Any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after notice is provided. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for personal, educational purposes in accordance with these Terms.

The extension, its source code, design, branding, and documentation are owned by Anh Pham and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The extension is released under the MIT License for its open-source components.
Lecture content accessed through the extension belongs to the respective instructors and the University of California, San Diego. We do not claim ownership of any UCSD content.
AI summaries are generated by Google Gemini and are provided for informational and study purposes only. AI output may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations of the lecture content.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated summaries. You should not rely on them as a substitute for attending lectures or reviewing primary course materials.
The extension integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Google Gemini, LemonSqueezy, and Kaltura. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
UCSD Enhanced Viewer is an independent, student-built project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the University of California, San Diego. "UCSD" is used solely to describe the website the extension enhances.
You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. You may cancel your Plus subscription at any time through your LemonSqueezy account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the extension or your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or our infrastructure.
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. In short, refunds are available for product-breaking bugs, duplicate charges, and extended service outages. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or dissatisfaction with AI output quality.
Your use of the extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights. By using the extension, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the extension or by email. Continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
